If you dream of snow-covered Alps, hot drinks by a fire, visiting a thermal spa in the snow, or hitting the slopes, put February on your calendar! The Aosta Valley, near the border with France, is as quaint as it gets in wintertime. It sits in the Italian Alps and there is easy access to France and Switzerland by gondola, ski lift or the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Skiing is optional, and we’ll visit alpine wineries, go to the top of Mont Blanc, tour castles and tiny towns and naturally enjoy traditional cold-weather hot dishes like savory fondue.
